What is happening?​

 

We revised our licensing model, effective Dec 1, 2024 :

- Genozip Research - replaces Genozip Academic (paid) - our product for university labs - functionally equivalent to Genozip Enterprise but at ½ price and limited to a single lab.

​​​​​​​

- Genozip Student - replaces Genozip Academic (free) - our free product for enrolled students - contains Genozip core features.

​​​​​​​

- Genozip Biobank​​​ - With this product, users across multiple institutions can use a single Genozip license to compress data for a public or cross-institutional repository of genomic data. In the past, each institution needed its own license.

I am an existing user. What does this mean for me?

​

- All granted Genozip Academic (free) licenses are revoked, effective 1/1/2025. Students are encouraged to switch to the new free Genozip Student license - apply here.

- The Genozip Standard product is discontinued for new customers, but continues to be supported for existing customers.

​​​​​​

- No changes to the Genozip Enterprise and Genozip Premium products.
